Recycling hints and tips
1. Don't bother removing labels from glass items
2. Do try to remove metal or plastic rings from glass items
3. When collecting newspapers follow guidelines.  The wrong kind of paper can cause the whole load to be downgraded, and "junk mail" can reduce the value of the finished paper product
4. Cans can be squashed under foot (shoes on!) before storing to save space
5. Even torn or damaged clothing can be recycled
6. Do tie shoes together if you are giving them
7. Squash all plastic items as best you can, removing lids.
