Leigh Bird Box Day

The Harveys kindly lent their barn for children of the village to meet and build bird boxes on Saturday 16 February 2008.  With much help from various parishioners, all members of the Leigh & District Cottage Garden Society, bird box kits were prepared.

15 children with parents turned up, and all went away extremely happy with a bird box they had made to put in their gardens.

If you missed this and would like an assembled bird box at £3, please contact Anthony Vere Hodge (or the web master on editor@leigh-surrey.org.)

Alf (left) was about as usual making himself extremely useful.
Here he is putting the signs out for the bird box day.
There were many happy young, including this proud one.
