The Leigh Coronation floats - 2 June 1953
These photographs of the parade of floats on 2 June 1953, the day of the
Coronation, have been provided by Ros Pearce (Neé Chudley). They were scanned from 25mm
positives which were warped, and in some cases bent and torn. In
such cases they have been slightly touched up and improved using
Photoshop.
Might these photographs provide some ideas for the next time the village
has a parade of floats at the opening of the Summer Show? Is anyone
on or near the floats
recognised?
