Game at home on Sunday 12 August went a bit like this:

Toss.
Lost.
Put in to bat.
Try to think up a batting order.
Struggle to think of an opening pair.
Ring Pinno who isn't anywhere to be seen.
No answer.
Try to look calm and in control.
Ring Pinno again.
Informed that in fact Pinno isn't playing this week and we have 11.
Silence.
Text apology to Pinno.
Leigh 12 for 3.
Rain.
50s from Phil (AKA Pete) and Stephen Chen.  Good jug-avoidance 41 from Clarkey too.
Leigh 211 all out.
Sunshine.
Good bowling and fielding.
Confuse Surrey Gymkhana's (SG) skipper with their 11 year old as he walks into bat..
SG threaten fightback but eventually their highest runscorer attempts one slog too many.
Jimmer takes final wicket with an off-spinner.
Leigh win by 40 odd runs.

All in all a highly satisfying day.
