The Leigh Magazine Club

The Magazine Club began many years ago when magazines were circulated among housebound parishioners.  It is a club for the more senior people of the village, providing the opportunity to get together on a regular basis.

Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month throughout the winter in the Village Hall (Abbots Pass) when there is an invited speaker or entertainer.  Bingo takes place on the fourth Tuesday of the month.  Tea is served and there is a bring and buy and a raffle at all meetings.  Throughout the summer months there are outings and other activities.

Membership is £5.00 a year, and for further details contact Jane Sturt on 01306 881547

Activities

An example of the activities of the Magazine Club was a scenic coach trip to Maidstone followed by a three hour river trip up the River Medway on the Kentish Lady.
