Welcome to the official Leigh Parish Web Site which was established for the benefit of the parishioners of
Leigh and for those visiting the village either physically or 'on line'
for information about our village and the activities in it.
Sponsored by the Parish
Council, the web site was launched on 9 May 2004.
Leigh (Grid Reference 224469) is one of the most attractive
villages of southern England, and has won the Best Kept Village Competition
on a number of occasions. With its fifteenth century church, St
Bartholomew's and a number of interesting old houses, the village is one which values its heritage.
According to the 2001 National Census
figures the Parish has a population of 856 .
This web site gives current news of the village in the opening page, and information about facilities and services within the
Parish and neighbouring areas. There are pictures of parishioners
participating in some of the many village activities in Leigh. The
Editor greatly welcomes pictures of common interest to the village, and
also comments and suggestions about the web site.
If you are thinking of moving to the parish, or have recently moved to
Leigh, there is a WELCOME PACK to be found with a link through the
Parish page.
